A friend of mine picked up this transmission yesterday at the Fitchburg Swap. Anybody have an idea on what it is? It’s syncroed between 2nd & 3rd

  2. I could be wrong, but it looks an awful lot like a 36 37 Olds trans. 36 was a one year only one piece drive shaft, and 37 was two piece drive shaft. from the look of the splines on that yoke on the back, it may be a 37. Definitely stronger than and early ford 3 speed! I believe Speed Gems made adapter bells for these transmissions.

  4. '36 had a funky looking tower so I would say it is a 37 Olds.
