    im looking at buying a used saginaw 4 speed that has recently been rebuilt with 1000k on it comes with flywheel newish clutch and pressure plate for 350.oo

    sound right?
    killer deal?

    That's not too bad these days....although you'll hear lotsa guys telling you they still get them for free, I haven't found deals as good as that in several years.

    That's a good deal. I think sags are good/affordable ******s. Used one behind a 427 chevelle and she never missed a beat. Took some abuse too.

    Thats a good deal! The only thing that scares me is....Why are they selling it if they just rebuilt it? Something smells fishy.....

    good to hear guys... im planning on putting about 400 horses in front of this thing from the people i've talked to it should be able to take it

    its a good friend from work... he's building a pro-touring nova he originaly had intentions of using a LS1 but then changed his mind to run a big block, he had done somewhat of a resto on the car a while back when he put the ****** in it with a fresh small block then decided he didnt want to go that direction and pulled all the drivetrain to mock up the LS1... and has been changing his mind ever since.

    Jump on it! I'm about to drop $800 or $900 to fix my T56 or buy another used one. Tales like yours really make me question my choice to go after a 6 speed to the tune of $1200 to $1500. Oh well, I'm commited now, or I will be soon. (see what I did there? Crazy, huh?)
