got my motor dialed in and took my A round the block today. i'm hearing a constant whistle,i thought it was the belt at first, upon further investigation its in the clutch area. you can hear it at idle and will get worse shifting down the road. rebuilt muncie 4 speed, new clutch. pilot bushing not in far enough? throw out bearing? adjustment ? return spring? i'm ready to pull it, what do ya think.

Its happy you are driving it.... She has been sitting in the garage getting worked on dreaming of one day turning heads at a car show. Perhaps looking forward to that special car you might park near..... A little wink across the isle???

I think the whistle is nothing more then air.... As long as its not a whine...

    No vibrations or leaks???

Does it do it all the time? Or only with the clutch pushed in. All the time check for TO bearing clearance, pedal pushed pilot or TO bearing.
