DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A REASONABLE TRANSPORT THAT COULD HELP MY DAUGHTER AND HER BOW WHO IS IN THE MARINES THEY NEED TO GET THERE CAR TO THE BASE IN HAWAI . PLEASE GIVE ME SOME INPUT . KEEP OUR TROOPS IN YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS HUMBLY JOHN!
John, Your daughter wants to get a car shipped to Hawaii from the states ? She is probably better off keeping it here in the states & buying a car over there. That is - if the deployment is for a short period of time .... Jim
The problem with shipping cars in international waters is it usually takes a while also. I would probably go with Jim's advice, with the cost involved it seems they could pick up a inexpensive temporary mode of transportation. HRP
sell this one or store it and buy something there. I was stationed at camp smith in haw in 69 70 marine. I had a car then I wanted to ship over they said I would get it in 3 to 6 months **** it was only a 1 year duty station. cost then was outrageous cant imagine what it is now.
The last I knew it was over a grand to ship a car to or from Hawaii. The rental car agencies and locals had trouble selling used cars when I was there. They should be able to find a good deal if they are looking for a every day driver.
thank you for all your input ,they will look for a deal when they get to hawaii. remember to keep our troops in your prayers. humbly john!
