Anyone have an empty closed trailer doing a pick up in southern California? Looking to have my sons 66 Mustang shipped to Camarillo , Ca. zip 93010 from Wisconsin 54669 Car is a convertible and would say it's in 5 out of 10 condition. Any leads would be appreciated. Tried several shippers to no avail. Flexible on dates. I can meet shipper on convenient interstate stop if that helps. Thanks

Runs, drives, can possibly meet the hauler a reasonable ways from the home place?
If you are willing to get the car down to I 90 or another major interstate to meet a hauler that might make a huge difference.

I see these kinds of posts every now and then and they always seem to be an innocent favor to another HAMB member. What could possibly go wrong?
Are you going to hold the hauler responsible if your car or item gets damaged or stolen while in his care?
As the hauler, does your insurance cover for loss of item due to accident or theft?
Is there an agreed value that is ok with your insurance company?

  4. The Hamb O Dex section is where you need to go if you need transport & are looking for a Quality Transporter with a great reputation!

The 4 "Hamb Haulers" all have ads in that section:
BenD, Racinman, David Robert Phelps & Myself.

Between us we probably have 600+ all positive feedbacks posted by actual customers, NOT by the transporter & since Ryan moderates the Hamb O Dex section you can be sure there is no funny business!

Since we are all booked well in advance, here are numbers for the other two Quality Transporters that don't advertise in the O'Dex section, but I also send much of my overflow to. I will never recommend someone who would do something that would ding my reputation recommending them, so they have been vetted completely by me!

  5. None of the promoted HAMB Haulers carry
any insurance coverage that covers damage or loss to a vehicle they are hauling - except perhaps Ben.

They are just guys pulling a trailer - perhaps
if they care to comment to the contrary - then
they can post here and state otherwise.

The OP is trying to get a car to his son.

I suggested he start this thread after
    he contacted me.

I was able to contract a shipper through the HAMB network so all seems to have worked out. Reasonable price within our time line. Thanks to all for the follow up.
