I am trying to find out what kind of 3 speed floor shifter can be used in my 1951 Ford F1. My truck has the original V8, and 3 speed manual transmission (3 on the tree). Is there a shifter that will work to make this a floor shifted vehicle. Any suggestions, or information will be greatly appreciated.

You are new here :) You really need a better choice for the thread ***le, so more people will know what it's about, at a glance.

I ***ume that transmission has 2 side shift levers underneath? If yes, then you can always modify an aftermarket shifter kit for a similar trans, if one is not already being made to fit.

If you can't look one up, see if there is a hamb vendor that sells speed shop type parts, and they can look one up.

I used a Hurst MasterShifter 3 Speed Shifter that I bought on EBAY. Check out my build thread "THUNDERTURD" to see some photos. Use the search function. It was relatively easy.

    Good Luck,

Yes, I am really new here. Thanks for the suggestion, and for reminding me the importance of selecting a ***le for a post. Yes, my transmission has two stubs coming out the side of it.
    Regards,
