Tremec TKO with a S10 Tailhousing

Has anybody ever put a S10 tailhousing from a T5 on a Tremec TKO?

 

No because it will not fit, it is a different transmission.

 

To change shifter locations on a Tremec you will have to use a shifter relocation kit. Modern Driveline sells them and they have excellent customer service. Here is what I did to my 3550. It is pretty much the same deal as the other Tremecs.

 

The TKO series has something like eight total combinations of shifter locations. You can fit it in about anything!

 

I hate to disagree with you, but its a T5 all the way. Maybe a few of the shifter internals are different, but the bottom casing on the TKO 500 and 600 is the same as a GM T5.

 

I know this thread is 8 years old at this point, but I just wanted to add this just in case anyone else stumbbles upon it and gets confused:

TKO 500/600 transmissions have nothing in common with T5s. They are completely different transmission. the TKO 500/600 is based on the TKO 3550, which also has nothing to do with the T5. Just Google pics of both and you can quickly see that they have nothing in common.
