    Good morning-
Been quite awhile since I had a project that could be considered "traditional"...
We acquired a '56 chevy sedan frame - haven't messed with one of them since like 1985.
Who makes the best kit to mount a side mount sbc in this frame? What's the trick to moving the rear leaf springs inboard for more tire clearance?
The plan right now is to build this frame to mount a side mount sbc/auto trans and build a driver out of it.
Any other tips/tricks, ideas that are a good thing to do with these? Thanks!

I use to use side mounts that were standard 1958 and up type. But now I really like this set up from Chassis Engineering. No longer does one have to drop the engine over then down into place. Also it stay’s in the way Tri-Fives sat on biscuits to begin with. IMG_2797.jpeg
As for trans cross member. The one I’ve used is no longer out there. Many to be had, just google Tri-Five Chevy transmission cross member.

I really like the idea of the biscuit mount, seems a little forgiving than the bolt through when you are figuring out where to mount them, also like the idea of dropping the engine straight down on the mount - thanks
