I keep looking at trucks when I go to events in the summer and check the tires and wheels on them. Never seeming to have a notepad with me I check the sizes and try to remember them..that doesn't work. I need to buy tires and wheels for a 56 GMC 100 and want some sidewall on the tires, not orings. Of course the best thing would be to have the same size front and rear so you could rotate them, but that probably won't happen. I thought I saw some 15" wheels with maybe 275 tires on the back and smaller on the front. what do you guys that own these have on yours for tires and wheels and what kind of sizes? any pics too? I will probably use an American Racing torque thrust style wheel ..thanks..

  2. Never heard the "tri-five" term used in reference to pickups .... guess it works, learn something every day. Good luck on your tire search.

  3. 235/15 on front, 245/15 on rear worked for me. both stock height and lowered, though it was close on the rear.:)
