Has anyone heard about the 55 and 56 hood bird being outlawed in Europe, something about being a safety hazard for pedestrians, I recall reading about it many years ago.
I have been trying to find any aricles about it.

Take from the this as you wish. My Father (parents arrived from Belgium to the US in 58) talked about it when I was young. It would have been around 70 71 when he mentioned it while washing his 66 Galaxy 500.

I've got a set of chrome reverse wheels for my '57 and I was planning to buy whitewalls for them but now looking at this, I think I might get blackwall tires. This '56 had a good look.

Newly acquired ( January 5th). It has been sitting idle for a long time so it's not yet road worthy. I'm considering Halibrand wheels.

I haven't kept up but to get the real thing you may need to look for used ones, but I concur that would look really nice.

Get in and out thru the tailgate? I bet it turns real sharp, is there even room for a drive shaft in that?

    I’d drive it
    Or at least try

  25. I would have to say that it was a static display at a business. I really don't think a driveshaft could go in it.
