It was on the Goodguys site earlier. Supposed to be real photos in the elements from a member. [IMG] IMG_1561.JPG

This is the car in about 1969. was on the road for about 1 year when he grenaded the 301 in it. Took it apart, and I moved the car to about 3 different garages. Sometime in the 90's he had a buddy narrow the rear frame and tub it. I thought this would get him going on it, but no, more sitting.

Often noticed how the big 3 auto makers did have some similar design features. Must have been a little spying going on or recruiting of people who had worked for a compe***or.
This 1955 concept built in 53 is one example. The notation on the picture references the Ford design influence of the front grille design.

My all time favorite! I would have made my all black 210 into a 150 if it didn’t have some what of a history!

My second car in high school was a 57 BelAir 2 dr hdtp, but I'm with you on the 150's as you no doubt have seen me comment before, the other one I always lusted after was the 150 Handyman station wagon.

Found another GM archive photo from 1954. Looks like one of the concept designs for the 1956 Chevy. Probably would have made a nice custom but thankfully not the final 56 design.

^^^That 56, Model 150, Utility Sedan (AKA Business Coupe), with the bumble bee paint is what my dreams are made of^^^. What I would't give for it. Should have kept ALL my 56's!!! Almost the same yellow as my 56 Sedan Delivery. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

I have this crazy idea of making a “stock” looking 57 150 with dusk Pearl and white with injection. Maybe a jr stock or M/P car. I don’t think gm ever offered that color combo in a 150 but I thought it would be pretty. :)

First 56 I bought once I was out of high school, it had a 55 station wagon 265 Power Pack engine, 3 speed with a Corvette shifter on the floor, very fast with the six cylinder rear end, 4:11. Scan 15.jpeg

You're right about GM not offering that two-tone combo on a '57 150. You wud have a very unique vehicle, if painted that combo.

I've long been a fan of dusk pearl. The one that stands out in my memory is a mildy raked, really well maintained '57 Belair 2dr HT I once saw that was only dusk pearl with a great looking set of polished/chrome wheels. I thought it was an outstanding looking car. Whenever I see dusk pearl, it always seems to be the two-tone with Imperial Ivory.

I love fresh shiny paint like the next guy but I'll always remember the original paint dusk pearl 57 210 sedan with the nicest little strips of wind worn patina on the tops of the front fenders.
My favorite 55 210 origìnal paint color is Neptune Green with a white top, again, I like a well patina'd original sedan. Craig Morrison (Arts son) had the neatest one, then ruined it when they painted it blue.

Totally agree DDDenny. Once they painted it I kinda lost interest. I’m more of a highland green kinda guy! Tomato tomato. Lol

Totally agree with 31hotrodguy and dddenny that is the charm of a lot of old cars. Shows their sole. So many folks have to change/upgrade just because they can. They probably bought the car for it's original look and then start changing. Oh well to each his own as they say.

Yup, same here... I'm really choosey about what color blue looks good on tri-fives. I'm often times unimpressed by a non-original blue, like the AM car. And yes, I thought the original colors had the right balance of worn, original paint look, but still lookin' fine.

Another friend's 55, this one was a local racer but no history, had a straight axle at one point also.
It's being worked on and will get a big block with tunnel ram, 4 spd, 55-59 truck axle up front and has an Olds rear already, rear quarters will get opened up bigger, Cragars all around with the body left as is.
