That's a good photo of my old G***er...514 cu in KB aluminum engine, Big Brodie heads etc...it made 692 hp on the dyno and ran out of air at 5600 rpm. I sold it 3 years ago. :-(

To me this just looks like the perfect California hotrod 57. Good stance, 5 spokes. I dig it!

^^^^ANY high school kids car in the early 60's to early 70's, anywhere in the USA.^^^^ If you were't into Chevrolet's, then it was the same year Fords. All the other cars were, parents cars, geek/loser cars, girls cars, or a hand-me-down cars from parents or grandparents. Mine was a 56 Chevrolet, Model 210 Del Ray, with a 2 barrel 265, and a Powerglide transamatic automission; red, with a mostly black interior and a killer A.M. radio and a rear shelf, extra speaker. By my senior year, it had a cammed up 283 with the worst Hedman Hedders (bolted together at mid length and the gaskets always blew out), floor shifted 3 speed, and a Quadrajet *******ized onto a stock 4 barrel manifold with a couple of adapters (it was that way when I bought the 57 Chevrolet it was all in). I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Yeah me too, it's bad***! A good friend just sent me that photo, along with this explanation:

I connected with the guy I sold my 2nd 57 Chevy to in 1971 on Facebook.........went to high school with him. He's a car nut and after he bought my 57 he tore it up racing it around town. i was always sorry I sold it but the one I have now is almost the same. This old one had a 327 vette engine in it with 15" american mags and same muncie 4 sp with Hurst shift that I have now. It was really fast. I could beat a few big blocks in races. Here's a picture the guy sent me after he owned it.

If you're dyslexic, you won't have to look it up. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Then there's the story of Cinderella, and her two ugly stepsisters. She fell in love with a handsome prince, and dropped her slipper.
    OR
The story of Rindercella, and her two sugly blisters. She lell in fove with a prandsome hince, and slopped her dripper.

That single line 210 trim detail across the quarter panel is reminiscent of the early 57 design that didn't make it into production, though was shown in early literature.
I guess they decided to not carry over the 56 trim detail.

Got the interior about as far as can go right now. Down the road I'd like to do new seat covers but the original door and side panels will stay put. Same with the headliner.
New carpet, insulation and seat belts and a cheapie truck seat cover that I cut up and used the bottom half. Still have to change out the under dash gauge panel with an aluminum one and SW gauges.
New shocks, lowering springs and '66 Impala hubs will start to go on tomorrow. IMG_8684.jpg IMG_8689.jpg IMG_8682.jpg
