http://denverflathead.com 2019 schedule coming soon. Maybe you already know about this but in case you don't we race about once a month and the gasser class is growing by leaps and bounds.
I wish there was more nostalgia and Gasser racing in Arizona. Seems like everyone left the state that actually had a car and raced it. The last nostalgia drags we had nobody showed up it was a joke. Applecrate on here, Steve he put it on but it was no way his fault cuz the racetrack didn't even have it on their website. you know it's like we can't get a break out of here then the Southwest nostalgia drags is gone the only one that still puts it one on is Steve and it seems like he it's like fighting uphill battle with the track itself. Our Gasser is almost ready to go and I'm afraid that we are not going to have a place to actually race it with other Gassers. Seems like nobody cares anymore but Steve. But he can't do it all himself plus he's running the Pontiac drags which I know that's his brand, but maybe drop the Pontiac drags and just do the nostalgia drags. Put all 100% effort behind just that one show instead of splitting it up. Just my .2 if it wasn't for Steve we would have zero nostalgia drags for Shure, but if nobody shows up or the track can't get their head out of their ass and actually put it on their website then we will have no nostalgia drags at all. Sorry, I love this stuff too, but I just can't deal with the Tribe at Wild Horse. I tried, but just can't work for 3 mos. for a few hundred bucks, plus the possibility of losing thousands. I don't know how Steve does it. He must have some really helpful sponsors. This is a tough market . No two ways about it. You've got from Oct. to maybe mid April to work with..minus all the holidays, minus the NHRA stuff, Goodguys twice, and who knows how many free cruise nights , that fit right into the retirees' budget. We're lucky we even have two tracks left in the state,..and one is on shaky ground ,from what I hear. Wish I had the answer for you..I just don't.
well thank you for your response. Were you one of the guys that helped do the Southwest nostalgia drags, only person I know of was Spike? I don't understand how Steve does it either I mean he's got to be losing insane amounts of money and that's what I'm worried about if he's the only one putting one on and I'm afraid we're going to have nothing. I'm so jealous at the back east guys and what they're doing about nostalgia drags and Gasser and stuff but there's no way in heck I could live back there I would die from the humidity alone. I was born and raised in Arizona I have to have a dry heat or I'll die lol by the way I started a new thread on this subject sorry to hijack this one Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
Yes , I started it in 2005. Spike helped me on the first one and then I brought him in as a partner from there on out. I'm sure I could make more money back East, but would never go back to stay. AZ is a great state.. just tough on promoters
Here’s some good looking track cars...the yellow one reminds me of project X and it’s got a roll bar...so it must get with it...
Hey Butch M, nice 56! I wouldn’t mind seeing some more pics of it! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
