Let's bring this thread back to life :) Recently found a site with 800+ pages of Tri Five mainly gassers but some Hot Rods thrown in and the photos WORK.

Sit back and enjoy this is going to take awhile to get through.

Sorry for any reposts going through the site as they are in order. And no captions had to grab the names I could read.

Here's one that's been sitting in a barn for 44 years, hope to make it to the Meltdown in 2018.
This picture was taken at US 30 in Indiana in 1972.

Blownhemi48 is probably very close. Factory published data shows around 3200 pounds. Real world results are usually higher than ''curb weight''. This is from racers who actually weighed their cars with oil, fuel, etc.

    Hello,
Mike Marinoff had a red/white Chevy Bel Air in early 1960. Would anyone have photos of that particular car in its different stages? Not the one that is painted a bronze, but the details of the RED AND WHITE BEL AIR HARDTOP ONLY.

    Thanks,
    Jnaki

    Hello,
This is the only one I could find. Color photos and other year details? I have the bronze color photos as they are the recent upgrade model. But any photos or links to this original 55 Bel Air model that was red and white? ...In all stages of the builds.

I cut the quarter panels on my 55 and got the wheels on but I'm concerned about suspension travel. How much space is needed above the tire?
