I agree. Looks more street freak to me but supposedly a vintage gasser and was wondering if anyone recognized it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Very well could have been an earlier race car. They did take the time to put a roll bar in it. Strip the wheelie bars and stickers and this one looks line it was set up very similar. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
What's not to like..???? Sedan body ✓ L-88 scoop ✓ probably has a big block ✓ and it has a straight front axle✓ I love it!....
Mr. Chevy is from my town. It was a race car from back in the day. It has a Small Block Chevrolet, and there is a matching ramp truck that hauled it to the track. I believe there is even a website for it. The current owner is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, he and I were in the same car club when I was in high school. Never said I didn't like it, but IMO, Street Freaks are not Gassers. There are many of them that I wouldn't mind having though, including this one. A lot of people say Gassers were not jacked way up in the front, but there is documented pics of original Gassers that were way up in the front. I'd be interested in seeing any pics of original Gassers that were that high in the rear. Ron
Pretty sure Mr Chevy was featured in one of the magazines a few years back. If I remember correctly, it lost a drive shaft once and they left the dents in the body, ie: dent just over rear wheel well next to decal/sticker. Ron
It is a small car world! I sure hope they are found quick! I’m beyond mad for the owner! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Definitely bad ass! Wheels can make or break a car. But I Would just like to ask the owner so what’s up with the wheels to which he’d probably reply “this is what they ran back in the day on all the gassers.” Lol Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I was looking for injection stuff for the 55 and came across these. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I can’t tell from the picture. Is that a spring in front set up? Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
