I have been looking around for a Tri-Power setup for my 283 SBC. I was wondering if it would be better to try to find a manifold that accepts 3 bolt carbs or 4 bolt carbs. I looked around but couldnt seem to find any adapters that would allow me to change between the two. Thanks.

alot of the manifolds will have both holes in them. I run tripower on mine & i'd suggest getting one with 4 bolt holes for rochesters, much better off.

Offenhauser makes the adapters you are speaking of and I think you can either get them from Exeter Auto Supply or Hot Rod and Custom. Both are Alliance Vendors.

  4. Go with the rochesters, many linkages and parts readily available.

I've got the 3x2 manifold in stock for the 3 bolt carbs, and the adapters to use the small base 2GC carbs on the manifold.
