Go to the www.rollingboneshotrodshop.com to see the tribute to Jake. If you knew Jake personally, be prepaired for an emotional ride.
Chuck asked me to forward this: Truer words could never be spoken regarding our loss of Jake. Ken's eloquence and thought behind every word could not be more-well spoken. It was an honor to have Jake as a friend and brother in hot rodding. His warmth, friendliness, and caring can never be replaced and we are all at such a loss from this. I was honored to have him as a friend. Last night I was watching a video for the first time of my rookie run at Bonneville last year and there was Jake, right there beside the car, smiling at me, and waving me on as the starter cleared me for the course. I'll treasure that moment forever. Thank you Jake for brightening my life. . . Chuck Vranas
This deserves to be brought back up. We love to ***** about the jerks in life. It's awfully nice to celebrate the life of a genuine nice guy.
A nicer person I have yet to meet. I met Jake at Lake Compounce swap meet about 15 years ago but really got to know him over the last 6-7 years.I have never seen him with out a smile and always looked forward to seeing him and Lou Ann at all the good events. He was so excited about finishing his 32 it is sad that he wont be driving it any longer.I am proud to have known him and call my friend.I will miss him.
Thanks Ken for your amazing tribute, I don't think that anyone that has met Jake will ever forget him, but it is really going to be tuff for many of his friends this year and many more years to come. When we are at the events we won't be able to look forward to seeing Jake & Louanne together, ready with hugs and kisses and stories. We love you Jake and will miss and our hearts go out to Louanne and her family. R.I.P. Jake Michelle & Roger
I met Jake back in 2005 at The Rolling Bones Open House. What a great guy !! Always with a smile and a good word coming from under that STASH. When we were at the salt he was everywhere........ looking, smiling, shaking hands. He was a man truly in love with the Hot Rods and the people of the sport. I'm really going to miss the BIG GUY ! R.I.P. Jake
We were back to work at the shop today getting ready to run at maxton this weekend . You find yourself working along and suddenly thoughts about jake have made you just stop and shake your head . This will be one of the very few times keith and i have gone somewhere and jake wont be there wanting to help with that big grin on his face . At the end of the day it's really about the people more than the hot rods
I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes..as Ken said, Jake was family..always will be.... RIP my friend....
Wow i just heard this devastating news. I know I'm late with this post and don't mean to bring up any sad reminder, however just wanted to share these photos of Jake and his 3-window from Bonneville last August for those who might want to download them. Jake was a wonderful guy always ready with a friendly smile and words of encouragement. I always saw him and Louanne at all of the New England events and last summer was the best seeing them out on the salt with the recently completed coupe. I will miss him.
Rip Jake... He may be gone but I have to say he had good taste in cars! That 3 window is perfect to my eyes. I love a channel on a car with realistic frame height. Sure makes a great desktop! Are there any more pictures of his car on Photobucket or somewhere?
I was asked to p*** this note on to all the HAMBers who have posted how much they loved to hang with Jake and how much they'll miss his infectious smile and limitless friendliness. To the wonderful, incredible Hot Rod world Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. LouAnn Roberts
