tricky patch panel fabrication and installation

    Awesome work. Had to do this many times. Anyone in Michigan knows this area ALWAYS is one of the first to ROT...great tech!

    NOT an issue with this car. it is a California car. only been here since mid 90s and spent most of that time sitting behind a barn and then IN one for the past several years. this was the extent of the rust on the outside of the body. got some small holes in the floor but i bought new pans.

    Great work! I picked up on several tips. Now I'm tempted to try that rocker replacement patch.

    Kustom, I forgot to mention what thickness of sheetmetal you prefer to use. Which one causes the least warpage once heat is applied to it? 16 gauge or 18 gauge, other?

    i try to go with the same thickness as what the original panel is... or whatever i have handy in some cases.:D

    Thanks for the tech, excellent ! The sheetmetal fabrication thing is still new to me, but looking for all the advice I can get.
