it's the only real racing left on tv, real people with real cars, not that NHRA garbage, 4 seconds race is over, dam i was looking down missed the entire race. Great heads up racing. it's like it used to be,run what you brung. I get sick of a lot of the same cars too, but at least it's real racing. And NO John Force

I rewound that scene on the DVR like 100 times! Even watched it in slow motion a few times. I couldn't stop laughing for a week! It was beautiful.:D

Pass time is a much better show my $.02

  9. Pass time shows to much of that dumb MC and not enough of the cars and they shouldn't have a ringer bedding against the other contestants my wife watches it and tries to guess how fast they will run.as for pinks all out we like cars that stand out that are not camaros and mustangs.

The best thing about the show. is that it shows the networks and sponsors, that grassroots drag racing brings in money and fans. NHRA has been losing sponsors and fans because it's boring, and it's become something it should have never been. People are turning out and watching pinks, because it's racing the way it should be. People want to see two cars line up, go balls out, and the best guy win, they don't want a 3 second race with a million dollar car.

Buzzard , well put we need more amateurs on tv. Did you see the 29 chev. Sedan that went on to win ? A father and son project.

  14. When they came here to Bako I laughed and said no thanks to a buddy who wanted me to tag along. He came over to the house a few weeks ago wearing a PINKS shirt and I said how was it? He said he would not go again. I will refrain from what else he said but he said a Model A won or something, I kinda liked that. Don't even know a person who ran out there at Famoso during the um uh contest?-Weeks

Don Moyer - You and The Reaper are both rulers!!! Maybe they'll call you and American Opel and you guys can show the world how cool drag cars can be! I hope.

The show is extremely lame, but I'm still glad it's on. My hope is that it'll eventually evolve to the point where they can just show racing without the sillyness. Or maybe some other producer will see the opportunity and jump on it.

I know some Hollywood people who've told me that Pinks gets better ratings than NHRA national event coverage. If that's true, more grassroots drag racing on TV may be in our future. And we'll owe it all to Don Moyer!

If it gets more people going to the drag strip to race or to just spectate ,I think it's a good thing.

  17. Wow, was out of town for a bit (wifes grandma's funeral:mad: I really liked her) and was suprised to see this thread still going...thanks for all the kind words, but I am nobody special...just wanted to go and try to experience 30,000 folkes in the stand, have fun, let mainstream people see nostalgia racing, and maybe make the starter pee himself just a little:D

the sad thing about nhra is they dont even show most of the race anymore.or if they do its on at 10 pm.i know they have lost alot of sponcers in the last year or so but if they want to keep it going they need to at least put it on tv!!!how could they expect the sponcers to spend tens if not $100.000 to sponcer a car if the only people that see them is the drivers?

I have two good buddies that have gotten into Pinks All OUT before. They did the same thing call a hundred times and got lucky. The experience there was pretty cool. I have to admit I don't care for Rich either but they did have more people in the stands than at any other event I have been to before especially NHRA! For those of you who didn't get in, watch out for a Last Chance Race. Last year in Indy, they did this like a month or so before the race and they had like 100 or so cars show up and everyone that beat the guy next to them got into the main event. I thought that was pretty neat. Not sure how to find out where or when they do these but its worth researching. Overall I'm glad they have this show to get people excited about racing again! Thats just my opinion.

Cool, and I get to be the first to say congrats if I am quick enough.

I like the show simply because it shows a lot of racing and not the "Wide world of Sports" background crap that most of the big time race shows have. I'd probably sit and watch three hours of straight one after the other pairs of cars make passes in qualifying before I watched thirty minutes of the NHRA finals. Just show me racing and a lot of racing I'll be happy.
