Does anyone know which trim clips are the correct replacement for the stainless trim around the bottom of the door gl*** and rear quarter window? There are also some discrepancies in the clips for the side spear trim. I have the simple straight trim. Thanks
http://www.restorationspecialties.com I have a 2013 catalog. My wife and i found them a while back for her 55. If you have at least one original clip that would help. I took an image of original clip with a measuring tape on the side of it. They were able to get me the correct part with that. Its under Moulding Fasteners. Part# 2569 Ford/Mercury 55. Yeah, it figures they would be discontinued. Most of my originals are not useable. Looks like I'm going to have to find some takeoffs that I can blast and use. Anybody?
Jeff at Restoration Specialties is the guru of trim clips. I bought the last of his '59 clips for my car in a couple of items. Look around the catalog for something similar. I have to use some old clips for my dog-leg trim since nobody makes them and I've never seen them in a catalog.
