i am looking for a original tripower manifold for a 67 corvette with a 427. If anyone knows where to get one i would appreciate the help
Hello? How many people are running 350s and 454s? Concider that, or how about electronic ignitions or TH350 transmissions or radial tires, or many other hundreds of items newer than 1964. As far as Im concerned, you guys are like women on PMS and just love to *****. He's asking about a tri power whether its a 67 or a 59 or ................ It's still cool and far cooler than an Edelbrock POS that is one of the poorest built carbs which I see on many hotrods traditional or not. Wish I could help the guy out but they are like gold and are in excess of $4000 complete.
I was just talking with my brother recently about the Corvette tri-power. Hard to find and if you do very expensive. Those carbs are Holley 3 barrels. That makes a total of 9 barrels instead of the usual 6 that you find with other tri-powers. Good luck, I hope you find the set up.
Where do you get you this bogus and outfight BS "information'????. Have you ever even seen a Corvette Tri-power set-up? Obviously not, if you think they used three Holley 3-bbls!!! Corvette tri-powers used Holley 2300-series 2-Bbls.....a standard center carb and 2 vacuum-operated end carbs . They absolutely DID NOT use the 3160- series Holley 3-bbls! A Holley 3-bbl was basically a large Holley 4160-series 4-bbl, except it had one huge oval shaped, vacuum operated secondary throttle plate instead of two smaller round ones as on the 4-bbl - and the 3-bbl only came in two airflow ratings - 950 cfm and 1050 cfm respectively! If you knew anything at all about either Corvette Tri-powers - or about about Holley carbs - you would know how ridiculous and ludicrous your statement is. Mart3406 =====================
I have seen them and it was a 3 barrel 2 small primarys and one large secondary. Quack all you want, what your problem is, I don't know. Maybe it's that time of the month for you.
They come up on ebay and have seen once or twice hear,,but they are monster big bux http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1968...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item3efd707fb1
Sorry, they are three 2 barrel Holley carbs. Just like all the tri-power/six pack setups have been. Now, we're not talking about 3 single barrel carbs on a 235 six here either. He's making a statement that is completely false, and needs to research it himself. Go ahead, look it up, please look it up. Here, I'll help; go to E-Bay, item number 220569326571, it's the intake the guys looking for, and it's three 2 barrel carbs. Thanks. Butch/56sedandelivery And to the original poster, like everyone has said, it's going to be expensive. Is this for a restoration?
........ There are also 2 different versions of the tri-power intake... One is the square port to match the 427/435 horse power version... And the other a oval port for the 427/ 400 horse version.
