That USPS informed delivery should be more correctly re-named; "Informed PROBABLE Delivery, if it actually makes it onto the truck". It's bogus ... the photos are taken inside the post office of what you may or may not receive that day. We've used it for several years and found it to be inaccurate about 90% of the time. Good Luck!
My self the USPS , I will get a Notification that I received a delivery, Its not accurate in my area. Will get a Delivery without Notification Then recive a Notification a few days after delivery, There Times I will get a confirmation of a delivery , No package Then few days later package in mail box . Then some times Notification and delivery on the same day . Just this p*** Friday , Notification of delivery item showed up yesterday
While not perfect, Informed Delivery is really helpful to us while away from home to see if any unanticipated bills are delivered to my alternate delivery location, my daughter's home. Add me to the list of those still waiting for #87.
I reached out to TRJ, I was surprised I got a reply. They said I was in the first mailing and should have received mine by now. I told them I had not and got no reply this time. Not sure if it's really lost or if they're just telling people it shipped at this point.
Nothing in my mail box addressed to me, I did have the Beaches (my neighbors) across the street power bill in my box. And before you ask, I did inquire if they had been delivered anything that should have been in my mailboxm the answer was Nope. HRP
I find that my Informed Delivery is reported accurately 98% of the time, maybe we’re just lucky and have a reliable delivery person.
Kinda a random tangent this has taken but my informed delivery is pretty on the money lol. I also give my mail carrier a Christmas gift, cold drinks in the summer and a heads up when the Journal is due. It generally gets walked to my front door and delivered person to person. But that day wasn’t today. Lol
Being I have a rural address there seems to be a different driver at least 3 days a week. It's nuts considering there is so many of us here on the hamb that are still waiting. HRP
OTOH, it's pretty amazing how many of us have gotten the publication accurately and timely delivered. Sorry yours is late. We have rural delivery, too. It's not a fun job.
The USPS says they handle "over 371million pieces of mail per day." IF we think that there are 10 copies of RJ still undelivered in the USA, that represents about 10/14000 = 0.000714 of the total. Relative to the total mail handled per day, that is 10/371.000.000 = 0.0000000269 of the total. But when it is YOUR issue, it is 100% of your total. I am amazed the USPS does as good as it does.
In all honesty I don’t think that the issues with the delivery of our magazines are problems with the postal service or the shippers. At this point I believe that the problem is directly at the source. TRJ simply cannot print and deliver enough copies to meet their commitments. That appears to be the case.
Well, we don't know that at all. It's equally likely that HRP has pissed them off individually and , by all reckoning, Danny is a nice guy.
I’m a nice guy too but from day one of my TRJ journey it has been challenging to actually have my copies show up in the mailbox in a timely manner. That started way before everything else went sideways as I mentioned. It leaves one feeling somewhat jaded.
I keep waiting for Tim to get his. Mine is usually a month later than that. Maybe if I chip in, Tim will get his mail carrier a hot chocolate to expedite the process.
They always take forever to show up lol. There’s a fair chance that I get the new hopup before the journal shows up. Least I’ll have something new to read lol
Thursday, no Rodders Journal. There must be some kind of weird mail vortex with South Carolina, Missouri and Canada. HRP
I think that you can add all direct international subscribers to that vortex! The first reported delivery in this post was 7 December. Do you all really think your postal service is that slow or that they can loose all those that are missing? Pretty sure that it's more than 10 copies
Maybe the postman needed to make a thermostat gasket and the nice, thick cardboard shipping envelope was just right?
I bet once they ****er some more people into subscribing at the GNRS this weekend and get some money guys will start seeing issues show up again.
We waited a year for this issue, what's another five months? Also, we will wait another year or longer for the next issue. PS-It's not the USPS. It is amazing (?!?) that the usual monthly magazines and bills show up once a month via USPS!!!!!
