I'm getting ready to head out. Thanks for posting the photo's @Tim , most of those cars I've seen/photo'd many times before, either local So Cal cars or at previous TROG/RPM Nationals. It's a small world afterall....... (now I gave you all an ear worm for the day )

 

They post that on every one of their event flyers. They had it on the one in 2016 at Pismo Beach but there were a lot of high end pro quality camera there. I don't know how they can tell a non pro what camera he or she can carry like concerts do but it might mean "don't show up with your fancy camera outfit and a crew to do photo shoots". Most rules like that are reactionary because something happened at a prior event that caused an issue.

It's funny but I used my Dad Day money to buy a new lens for my Cannon Rebel 3tsi that is getting close to having 80K photos taken with it and used that lens at Hotrod-A- Rama for the first time and all the sudden folks were noticing the camera where they never paid much attenton to it before except that they noticed that I had a real camera rather than a phone or point and shoot. I actually had a bigger lens on it at Trog in 2016.

After going back and looking at Bad Bob's post and a couple more I have never caught flack from some "promotor" for posting photos of an event I have been at either. Never did it for money so that may be a part of it but one guy does have permission to use my photos on his site. The car photos are for fun, the sunset, sun rise and landscape photos are a different story.

 

Registration is open and our man on the ground @J.Ukrop is getting it done! Lots of familiar faces, grabbed a few snaps and a couple grabs from video of guys driving to the even earlier today. Cropped them to make it easier to look at but tried to leave at least one of each set with the persons screen name visible. These are obviously not my photos, if you want to know a specific photos photographer I’ll pass that along.

I was there from about 11:00 till about 4. I took a bunch of photos, nobody said anything about camera's, and there were folks there with some nice camera's, a few with a couple of camera's swinging around their neck. I shot a ton of photos, I'll post them up later after I go through them.

Weather was great, clear skies, warm, no wind. The vintage aircraft are pretty cool too.

No March AFB is still in Moreno Valley. Its now a joint active and reserve base.

I'm sure all of the rules are being rigorously enforced in the best of hot rodding traditions. It isn't an event if it doesn't have rules. Rules are made to be broken. I'm sure there is no weapon on site.
