Thanks for the pix and vids. They're much appreciated. Plus, living in Wisconsin, I'm envious as all get out.
So how did anyone find out about this event,we are here in san jose and didn't know any thing about it
Yup, this is the first I heard about it also and I'm in the Sacramento area. The last and only west coast TROG I was aware of was a couple of years ago last October at Pismo. Knew about that one way beforehand, but this one, absolutely clueless. Here is a 20 minute walk around of the pits that popped up.
It was promoted heavily on both facebook and Instagram. There were threads about it here on the HAMB.
look up https://www.instagram.com/t.r.o.g._official/ & https://www.instagram.com/oilerscarclub/ and follow them. If there are more races out here you'll know about them.
Hello S, We were in Santa Barbara back in November of 2018 during Thanksgiving Vacation. That is our go to spot for the pre-holiday events. It has not disappointed us, as we also have a history with the whole area dating back to early 1960 and together with my wife in 1966 to the present day. There already were notices locally about the event. I immediately posted some on the HAMB, but who reads all of the posts, anyway... INSTAWHO? Don't rely on what seems to keep people busy, straining their necks and eyes...There are newspapers and websites with all of the information available. For most that use social media, they will have curved necks and hunchbacks as a progression of ailments in the future... Ha! Jnaki Here are the early links to the drag races in Santa Barbara. At first, it was a surprise that the local SB activists would let this public roadway blockage be part of the package, on a busy weekend.
