I ordered and paid for (online) a subscription to Hot Rod Builder on March 30th. I have yet to receive an issue from them. I have tried calling the numbers listed in the issues I bought from the newsstand. Buckaroo Communications, the parent company has the same 9-day old message on their main number and the subscription number. I have not received an answer to my e-mail inquiry either. I hope they haven't fallen victim to hard times--I really liked the magazine. Anyone else receiving their subscription issues or anyone having trouble?

Their website doesn't show any "Hot Rod Builder" only "Street Rod Builder" "American Rodder" and "Rodder's Digest"... so what magazine did you subscribe to?

Right you are. Big brain fart. It is Street Rod Builder. I guess it's been so long since I subscribed and I have had a birthday since then. When you get old, that happens.

I thought Buckaroo went under. I haven't received a Rodders Digest in almost 2 years. I called a few times and was told, my subscription would be extended. I guess I just wrote them off.

I have spoken with them at a few shows, and YES they are hurting financially (like everyone is) The last SRB was like a june/july issue. They still bring the trailer out to shows and put up Pros-Pick awards, so they are trying. If you ask them, they say the latest issue is at the printers.....

I am waiting for my feature to come out in SRB that they shot at Louisville in '08

Buckaroo, A sore spot in my world. I am a freelance photographer / writer and they owe me at least $8000.00 from over a year ago. Most of their in house guys are gone and freelancing. It is tough out there, even with the guys in LA. The publishing world has been hit for a number of reasons, not just the current economy. The internet is certainly a reason for a lot of it. Still, its not as much fun sitting in your hot rod in the garage and reading Rod & Custom on a computer. Da Flash
