    Okay, I'll bite......how'd you mount the 79 spindles to the 36 axle?

    Here is a great thread here on the H.A.M.B. A 1946 Ford on a P30 Ch***is. I am going the same route with my build. A P30 or G30 Cheby ch***is. You can find them under step vans, motorhomes, etc

    I have several friends that have used 67-mid 80s chevy half ton pick up frames under 55-59 Chevy pick ups. The earlier frames are straight on top but do not have disc brakes, the later frames have a dip in the middle that requires a tall front cab mount because the rear cab mount is on the upper part of the frame. You could channel the rear of the cab over the raised portion of the frame but that places the bed and rear fenders too high in relation to the body and front clip. One of the problems with doing this is the front wheels need to be late model wheels to get the tires under the frame, requires a deep back space wheel which limits your wheel choice.
