I have an '04 powerstroke. I got a pretty good deal on it. I bought it last year with about 2700 miles on it. The previous owner died right after he bought it.

Anyway i have yet to find anything this truck wont haul.

Turned up the injection pump (free 20hp on dyno, takes 10 minutes to do), 4" downpipe, 4" straight pipe exhaust ($40 worth of 4" exhaust tubing and an hour in my garage), I used Lucas "Prince of Darkness" Injectors, they take about 2 hours to install. The turbocharger upgrade to HX35/40 from 1994-1997 Cummins made a monster difference, BHAF Air Filter Upgrade did too. Good $120 upgrade is the DDP Fuel Pin, made 20hp on dyno, and takes 5 minutes to install. Eventually went with a Southbend "Con FE" HD Clutch when the original one went out @ 150k. There's lots more mods and different brands, but this was the route I went and was damn happy with it. I've still go my eyes peeled for another.

Y'all can look for me on the Interstate running across Arkansas tomorrow. I will be driving from Texarkana to Jacksonville, then north to Missouri. As always, I will be driving my 39 Ford pickup, black with blue wheels and pulling a trailer, black with blue wheels. This time the load is a 1940 Ford pickup with 2 engines on the back.

I think a 39 pickup would make the ultimate tow rig. put a powerstroke in it and drive the piss out of it.

  8. A guy here in Augusta Ga. builds these trucks but for the very well-off or greenback blessed crowd. A good friend works for him driving these thing all ov er the country delivering them to people like Shaqueel O-neil( or however you spell it). He realy decks them out too with satalite T.V.s and all the other bullshit you can cram into a limo with six wheels and six doors. $200,000 but they build them to your taste.
