I recently got a 37 Ford pickup and have been looking at other trucks for inspiration. Not saying mine would work with skirts, but there are a few I've seen that are pretty cool. There's a local guy with a 59 Chevy pickup with skirts on it and it gives the truck a lot less of a workhorse look. Any trucks you've seen around with skirts? I'll try to get a pic of the 59 next time I see it.

Don't care for them that well. Looks like an Irishman in a kilt.

I knew there would be some naysayers, but I agree that if the truck is super low /tail dragger it looks pretty good. Stock height, not as much.

  9. The way I look at it is I don't think it improves the look of a single one of the examples shown over what the truck would look like without them.

I actually think your truck would look good with skirts....by the way, what headlights did you use for your custom?

those skirts do not make any of those trucks look better. especially the black one with skirts on the front.

You're right. It does not look exactly like every other truck out there. They should fix that.

  15. Haha I am strongly in the camp of not liking skirts on trucks so I am pretty sure I won't be:). Not sure what it is as I think they are a requirement on a custom car but they just look odd to me on trucks. Thanks.

sorry dude, those are great looking trucks in their natural state. those skirts on the front are just ugly, sitting its ass on the pavement looks lame, it has nothing to do with "looking like everything else" or any other dumb comments. looks like a quality build, a nice stance ( you remember stance right?), and a good set of wheels and tires would improve that truck a whole bunch. I would prefer an original style bed as well. that one looks like a Ford Ranger bed.

Nope. Then I would confuse it with 5-6 other trucks at a show.

I am never impressed seeing the same thing, all over again.

  18. A couple of thoughts go through my head when I see skirts on a pickup, one is wtf was that guy thinking and if he really want's a custom why didn't he build a lead sled?

The skirts haven't improved the look of any of these trucks, which are all nice looking trucks but in my mind would benefit from tossing them in the trash..I just don't care for them but to each their own but IMHO I think they are just plain FUGLY! HRP

I read the OP's post twice, didn't see where he asked if anyone liked them, just asked for pics.

I have a couple pics, searching for them with no luck, thousands of saved pics in my E stash.

I'm not a fan of skirts on trucks but if you do it you have to go the whole nine yards with the rest of the look to carry it off. The two AD Chevy trucks in Petejoe's post carry it off pretty well as the skirts are an inclusive part of the complete truck and not stuck on just because the cool guys have

Everyone has an opinion. If asked, I will give mine. I would never be so pretentious as to offer mine without being asked. With that being said, here is my truck. I have had more fun, and trveled more miles in this truck than a person should be allowed. LOL 20141225_091306.jpg 20141225_091230.jpg

I think yours works because it is a panel truck with a large body mass in the back. Yours? Yes. A pickup? No.

It's gotta be just right or it looks so "J.C.Whitney" to me. Anything can be styled in a pleasant fashion but I think a truck needs to stay a truck. I'm not hatin on it, just feels 'off' to me. Surely there's a truck or 4 that does look good but not for me. That panel above almost works...

  29. I too think they look right on the panel delivery, especially with the visor. HRP
