This ones seen around Costa Mesa Ca for years. Always been about the same. Skirts and fenders were a lighter gray primer last time I saw it. Drove by and took the picture on my way to the Post Office. Not my style but fits the thread...
I own a kilt and look pretty dapper in it. My point being, if can look good in a skirt why not a pick up truck? Golfing in a skirt ****s, other than getting to play from the ladies tees.
Fooling around one day and I decided to put a set of skirts on a Divco milk truck to see what it would look like.
Real Trucks, "dont wear skirts or bras" for that matter....lol Hey some look kool, most not so much...to each their own.
Hello, Here is a drawing I did of Jack Rudy's Chevy pick up truck from So Cal. I saw the truck at the original 2017 Lions Dragstrip Museum Grand Opening. It was parked out in the back parking lot, where the giant Cacklefest was attracting tons of attention. It just looked like it should be there from the late 50's when Lions opened. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...iday-art-show-11-29-19.1175259/#post-13343267 The drawing is very simple and plain. but the real truck is a work of art. In contrast to Tommy Ivo’s more modern gl***ed-in trailer for a back drop, the purple truck stood it’s own ground against those nitro burning fuelers. Those fuelers were just a few steps away, firing their motors for a loud afternoon of fumes and cool noise to our ears. It had everything in a 50's custom truck that would be necessary for being period correct and just one fine pickup truck. If we did see custom trucks from the late 1950s time period, this would be the style that was prevalent. Jnaki I had colored the Chevy truck, my favorite red for a holiday surprise project, but the original “Color Purple” choice made the truck look pretty outstanding for a custom truck, skirts and all.
It has been a while since this thread has seen daylight. Someone started a thread on "lets see your skirts". Someone asked about how a pickup would look with skirts. This thread has some good examples.
Old thread but I'll play...but not a pickup though. Built this as my wife's grocery getter...including EVERY possible "bling" accessory I could find.
