I guess it's cool???? But I dought it was ever run down the road. I don't see any signes of peddels or throttle. I think some guy started it not knowing what he was doing, and saw he had a Rube Goldburg and dumped it. Just my thoughts.--TV
Ifs its the real deal, how did you drive it with the frame so high? I don't see how it had a seat in it? Looks like something unfinished that was in a fire..........

i can't see how it was even drivable with that channel! (there cant be more than 12" between the frame and the underside of the cowl. this car was never driven. there's no room for the clutch and brake pedals. it appears that the body came off of a one time functioning car (cowl mods, etc) but the workmanship is very shoddy...holes in the body for the exhaust look like they were cut with a can opener. the shocks are set in such a fashion that they cant work, they would effective make the car ride as if it were w/o springs. this could be the cover car on the next OSR: "Look they really did build'em shitty back in the day..." boyd coddington?...!
Well the last few posts beat me to it. I too think it was never finished. When I was in high school, I found a model A sedan that was mounted on some oddball frame. Hard to see how it ever worked.
I call bullshit!! That thing was found in six diff. places then thrown together, left in the rain and now some A-hole is going make some serious change!!....Damn why didnt I think of that!!...Oh thats right I have integrity!!
Well, I can tell you it wasn't just thrown together and left out in the rain. I went and looked at it. It is a major peice of crap however. Bomber seats gone? Heck it never had a floor let alone seats in it. When they're done blasting the major scale rust off it, there will nothing there. This car has been sitting somewhere damp for decades just like the barn pic shows earlier in the thread. Someone is in for a BIG surprise when they pic up this jewel. It would make a great flower pot though! Later, Bill
Megan, Its still there. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=019&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=290061855977&rd=1,1 Later, Bill
another stupid note: it has parrallel leaves in the rear and a tranverse leaf in the front...no one does that! this car is a joke, i wonder if the guy is bs'ing the stuff about the lasalle tranny and the bomber seats?
There hasn't been a tranny on the back of that bellhousing in years. Solid rust. No floor means no seats in my opinion. Later, Bill
it has parrallel leaves in the rear and a tranverse leaf in the front...no one does that! Quote And EXACTLY how long have you had your head in the sand? I've seen hot rods/street rods/rat rods built with that combination for the last 40 years and some of them were high milage cars that are on the road today still racking up the miles. Frank

I'm with fur biscuit, what happened to the pedals? Plus it must have really looked cool with almost the whole steering wheel above the doors from the side. 'Course the driver would have been almost at far out of the car as well.
that cars fucking awesome! i LOVE IT! but im picturing it as it used to be... or MAY have been. anyone notice this by the way?
Well apparently Boyd passed on it, since it's still for sale and hasn't gone up. No way would Boyd touch that car, he's allergic to rust!
it doesnt look like anyone has adressed that wierd triangle cutout at the bottom of the rear...what is that for...single boxster exhaust maybe??? Or was the planned parachute.
Crazy thing is it takes "2" people to get a price to go up at auction. So there is "2" that think this is a great car!?!? Or someone is playing games. As rusty as it looks in the pics, its even worse up close. Trust me... Later, Bill
You have GOT to be fucking KIDDING me....!!! Over $4000 for that heap of shit...? There isn't a grand worth of parts there... even if the engine wasn't stuck. I have model-A parts in my scrap pile that would make a better body than that... Fuck me runnin'..... I'd love to be there when the transport drops it off at the buyer's house.... JOE
Some are still shiney. This one in my back yard was last painted in 1956 with lead based enamel. There are a few scratches and minor dings. It has a 1956 powerpack 265 39 tranny and same ole 32 rear end. Last upholstered also in 1956 with red and white naygahyde. Basically an ordinary old car. The guy who did it from 1953 to 56 who I bought it from had it for 37 years.
Imagine sandblasting or grinding that thing....It would prob disappear into a pile of dust quicker than a crackhead jerking for another hit!
Probably a push-bar when the body was on some kids dragster or lake bed racer. This body was probably owned by the Granatelli Brothers, and they sold it to get enough money to buy a turbine engine. Yea... That's the story... That car isn't worth the fiberglass it would take to hold it together
im guessing a push bar. has anyone noticed that cowl i circled on the other page????? someone should ask him where that junk yard is. might be a cool yard art if its to far gone.... also, i need the hinges off of it.
Glad I'm not the ONLY one who thinks its a piece of crap that I wouldn't give 40 cents for --4000.00dollars??????????????!!!!!!! NUTS!!!!!
