they didn't just cut out the wheelwell looks like the entire 1/4 was cut below the bead line so are those even replacement panels or just sheet metal? forensically you can date the build by whether repro 1/4's were used and by the filler used ...bondo or lead? Also imo it looks too "clean" to have been done in the '50's...so I'm going to wager that the 1/4s were done at some date later than the channel....but I do think there were some fenders welded there and someone in the '80's cut them off and made new 1/4s and added the point at the back....I'm going to go with mid to late 60's hot rod turned '80's -'90's pro street...keep us posted!
You could be totally correct, I have found no other info on the car yet. the quarters could definitely be sheet metal, they did a pretty nice job. The wheel wells were bolted on the newly formed lip. I’ll get better photos
Is there any Metallic Blue paint on the body? There was a channeled 3Window here in town in the late 1960's, changed hands a few times and was wrecked in Redding, Connecticut, trail ended there. Bob
