I want to install a electric trunk lid lift on my 50 shoebox.
I bought one this past Friday, it is designed from the old GM gear driven window regulator. It is now in the scrap pile, after so much effort trying to make it work I wont even try to return it.
Enough about that one, does anyone have a good suggestion as where to buy a good trunk lifting and closing mechanism . Thanks in advance DrB

  2. there several companies that offer ram style lifts. I get slammed everytime I mention Auto-loc but they have a wide selection

What's wrong with a pair of nitrogen struts? 50,000,000 minivans can't be wrong ;)

NONAME, thanks for the suggestion, I ordered a adjustable actuator. I appriciate you help, I will let you know how it works.

  5. I installed a linear actuator from Duff Norton in the 55 Chevy Gasser that I'm building for my buddy. They come in just about every length and size. The lifting effort can be as little as 75 lbs up to 500 lbs. Cost is around $115.00 per unit, and they can be bought at Duff Norton Charlotte North Carolina. Look them up on the internet for specifications.
    Good Luck,
