Trunk upholstery pictures needed

I am finishing off the upholstery in my 40 mercs trunk and I need some ideas of how other cars have been done. I did a search but never really found what I was looking for. Any pictures of 39-48 ford ,chevs or mercury trunks would be great.

 

Also the underside of the trunk lid.

 

For what it's worth....Pleats & carpet match what we did inside. The old Samsonite train case hold the battery.

 

How do you guys cover or hide your spare tire?

It should match the interior in design and color. If you look at features of customs in the 50's and early 60's the spare was almost always covered and if it wasn't it had a matching hubcap on it.

 

Here's mine. Kinda' plain but that's what I asked for. I also have the right support arms on there now. I don't carry a spare.
