Trying to deal with my pos car!

First off...owning and maintaining an old car takes money. Fixing one up takes even MORE money. Doing one very nice is LOTSA money.
That's just the way it is. Either lower your expectations, or make more money to spend on the car, or get out of the hobby.
I fuel my builds by working on other guy's cars, I couldnt afford to build a real nice one on my salary, or pay someone to do it for me. So I do most of it myself, and do cars for others for the spending money. Done this all my life, and I've had some REALLY nice cars!

 

You CAN fix it man, and it wont cost lots of money. I bought a cheapie welder for 2 bills and use that daily, on every thing I can think of, I love it.

No shop? BFD I work in my alley all the time, changing trannys in the mudd, fixing rust, whatever... No alley/driveway? Befriend a local hot rod club, they often have a shop that you will be able to use. Get a generator and drive out to the country and cut out some rust and weld new shit in on the side of the road. Think outside the box. Maybe not quite that far, but you can find a way to get her done man, for cheap. You just need to ask the same questions to the right guys in real life, not on the net.

 

Yea think i did have high expectations. As far as making more money anyone have a good crack connection? Those guys seem to have money! And yea im keeping my ford. As far as the shop thing just cant do body work where i work. Ill do it outside. Was talking to a friend after work yesterday who said hed lone me a cheapy spray guy and made his recommendations in what to do. (Quick scuff quart of rustoleum). So thats the plan as of now. Goin to rock with that that beat my car senseless. Whip it if you will haha
