I've got an OEM headlight ring that I'm trying to identify. It looks like it's for a 50s-60s car with single headlights but I have no idea what. The part number is 3996941 and it looks like a GM part. Can someone steer me to a good source for info or does anyone have any idea what this might be for?

How about these? I was kinda hoping the part number would help.

Thanks for the add'l pics. Unfortunately I STILL don't know what it is. But, it does appear to be a recessed style trim ring, sorta like a frenched style light. Judging by the little indentations it is intended to allow adjustment of the sealed beam without removing the trim ring. That alone suggests to me it is at least a 70's era part.

    Dang, I like a mystery.........even BETTER when I can solve it! :)
