I've got all the new gl*** and I'm ready to start installing it in the '54 Ford "Ranch Wagon" but I ran into a snag,,,

I don't have a clue as to what the parts technical name is but it is attached to the bottom of the vent window and for the lack of a better term I will call it a pivot.

I bought a set of vent windows on the internet to replace the ones I had that had the pivots broken only to be surprised to find the pivot sheared off my recently purchased vent windows after the gl*** was removed and the mounting flange is extremely rusty and paper thin,,it was attached with 2 br*** brad type rivets.

Anyone know of a company that has replacement pieces?,,I would rather purchase these instead of trying to make them. HRP

Yep correct term is pivot. Can be bought for f1 trucks so probably are made for your car. Try Sac Vintage Ford or Dennnis Carpenter.

The customline 2&4 door take the same vent gl*** as the Ranch wagon so the vent frames should be the same. 52 thu 54 are the same.

The Pivots were in place when I got the vent windows,,they appeared to be perfect,,the problem was found only when the gl*** was removed,,,the mounts were extreamly rust and paper thin and broken away from the top piece of the pivot that is riveted to the frame. HRP

Thanks for all the pointers,,I found a N.O.S. pair and shortly after that hombres ruin suggested C & G Ford Parts and they list them also,,for once in my life I scored a great deal,I got both for half the price of one!:),,but I would have paided their price if I had not found the others.

I have marked C & G Ford Parts because they do have a lot of unusual and hard to find parts listed in their catalog.

    Thank you guys,HRP

C&G has a large supply of interesting hard to find stuff, and when you go in they are really nice too. ( I live about 20 minutes away from them, and used to work literally across the street from them)
