Trying to get it running

So my problem on this is there are wires that don't jive with the drawing. Also can't find the kickdown so I don't have the wire to the negative on coil . Is that maybe the cause of no start? Also have a black and red wire and a black that goes through firewall to I believe is brakes. I am a newbie never worked on a car before and maybe over my head . Thanks for thehelp
