Having a bit of a clear out and have a bunch of old Ford parts, transmission etc.

Can anyone help me ID these knuckles. I am thinking 1940 but not sure what to look for. The numbers are ALMOST visible, I get something like 38-3 197 although not sure.

36 I believe, the seal surface is bigger than 35.

1936 had a bunch of one-year-only features, too.

They were sort of a transition between the old and the newer that came in the next year.

These have a different snout length, and thus different bearing spacing than 1937-end.

While the Wide-5 drums/hubs that go on these would appear, at a quick glance, to be the same from 1936-1939, the 1936 drums/hubs are actually unique to that year.

Juice brake backing plates do not fit on these without some adaptation work, too.

Unfortunately not, just clearing out a bunch of parts purchased when the coupe went together.
