Anyone have an idea the year range of the attached Chevy diff? Is there a website i could go to to check it out? I'd like to know final ratio, and how to remove drive shaft.
    Thanks. Scan0012.jpg

Yes, has torque tube. Is this a pre-54 Chevy? What year did Chevy start using this rear?

I replied with some information in your other thread asking this question. Maybe you should see if you can find it? and only post a question one time?

yeah, this forum is busy, and it's hard to keep track of your post...but if you don't, you won't see the replies. Welcome to the hamb!

Go to your member page, and click on the "postings" tab, and you should find all 3 of your posts. then you can find the other thread you started.

I think there something about old chevy rears has a cast in number on the passenger side of the banjo with info on year and ratio? Or is only the newer ones.

And FYI @squirrel is the ID master of all things chevy, never let me down or disappointed me!!!!

yup, there might be a casting date. Like D 13 1 which translates to April 13, 1931 (or whichever decade is appropriate for that particular casting number)
