Got this bench seat, came out of a early bronco. I know it’s not factory & looks like it was reupholstered. Tried Googling the design & couldn’t find a match. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm thinking a bus..the loop seems like a grab handle for people having to stand in the center aisle.

That was my first thought (bus seat). The frame work is Sturdy so that would be a great start for a hot rod seat.

buses generally don't have arm rests, other than that it could be.

Early CJ Jeep? The grab handle doesn't seem right though.

Yeah looks like an old public bus seat with that grab loop but I don't find one with arm rests either. Maybe a special one for some commercial vehicle?

  8. The fact that the grab handle on the top is only on the p***enger side seems to possibly point towards a vehicle that didn't have a rear drivers side door, I'm not familiar with old Surburban's but agree with @Ebbspeed 's guess.

Agree on the grab handle fitting an older bus.
However, consider it may have been used in an older open style parking lot "shuttle" vehicle that gets large groups of people from a parking lot to an amu*****t park entrance. The curbside only grab bar lends itself to the shuttle model as many times these are designed to not enter/exit from the driver's side to keep pedestrians out of vehicle traffic path. The arm rests serve to keep you from sliding off the seat and out of the moving vehicle.

Some Hotels/resorts also have 10 p***enger electric golf carts set up in a similar fashion.

Looks like one of those Jeep type seats that are used on open sided tram like vehicles they use to transport people to an from excursions on cruise ships and resorts. the-tram[1].jpg

here are some bus seats with grab loops, no arm rests on these though. I am going to move this to antiquated where old busses are on topic
