  2. How does that dash affect you when driving on a bright sunny day?

  3. It's not as big of a deal as everyone says. My roadster has a chrome dash as well. Nothing beats em

  5. Took it on an ever longer drive Saturday night. It was a nice cool evening and I drove it around until late in the evening. It has that slight miss I'm still trying to figure out, and the low power may be in the pedal linkage. If I really push it through the floor it moves right along. It was neat driving an old car with the sun going down reflecting across the hood. Mounting my tires this week

Damn that looks sharp. I'm working on a 46 Sedan. I dig that chrome dash. Glad to see what 7.50s actually look like on the rear, I agree just a hair too tall.

Congrats on reversing previous bad decisions... looking forward to where this one is going.

I may have missed it but how long were the shackles you added?

  7. They are an inch longer then factory.

I'm not generally a big fan of this body style. But man, you've done a nice job with this! Good work. The car looks great.

  10. Got my tires mounted on my wheels tonight, and also broke out the hole saw and got the park lights installed. That was a little scary

Love it, the only time I've had my chrome dash get me is driving west during sunrise. Just low enough to sneak in that back window and pop back at me. Really the chrome horn ring glares at me far more often and you never hear people complain about that.

Keep on truckin man it looks great!

  17. Was digging around in my 41 convertible parts stash looking for a wiper arm, and forgot I had this made for it. Will work in this car, too!

I was glad to see you installed the 1946 parking lights. I always thought they were a nice design and much better than the 47 / 48 plain round ones. Great work on the car, anyone would be proud to own it now!

  19. Not much to report the past few weeks, just been driving it. Aside from the engine being weak, it runs and rives well. Makes a great family car. My friend Zach shit some great pics of it at a local cruise night

  21. Yeah, he is a true artist. He's the one who shot my roadster for HopUp. I've known Zach for years, very nice guy

  22. Been driving the car nearly every day, it does daily driver duty pretty well. The whole family can ride in it really comfortably.

I did finally install the rebuilt steering box, that improved it 100%. And I put some carpet in it as well. Can't wait to finish the rest of the interior

"Hamburgers by the bagfull" :D:D looking good Chris. '41-'48 long door coupes are really growing on me lately, but since by my calculations, I need to keep building cars till around 110 to finish what I already have, I should probably ignore that urge...

  27. Well fall is here, been driving the car all summer. I really love this thing, it's a very nice driving car. Have a bunch of stuff I want to do to it over the winter, hopefully that 283 finds its way into it ;)

Love it man. Where did you find the carpet? I'm looking around for some formed carpet for mine but can't seem to find anything.

Looks great, nice job! Doing the 283 swap on my 46 this winter, the engine is at the machine shop now, also leaving in the original trans and rear. What front and rear tire size would you recommend, and brand? Thanks, mike.

  30. I had it made by an upholsterer
