tube thickness for frame

    I am thinking about building a frame for a project binder truck. what wall thickness do you guys recomend for this. low to the ground and possible bagged. let me know what you think.

    .125 wall, for your app probably 2X4.

    For me on this particular build I used 2" by 3" 3/16" wall. Of course my plan was to get it low just like yours. I also have a chromoly round tube hoop behind the firewall. Along with properly placed, (triangulated) crossmembers makes for a very ridgid frame.

    I use 3/16" ( 0.1875) for all my frames that are street driven....

    It is a little thicker than some use. But I like the piece of mind that it will not break. Especially if you are going to put large Z's in it like most people want now days.

    Unless I'm building a drag chassis where weight is a concern.
