I’m wondering if anyone knows a part number of a commercially available tube that I could get locally or even mail order that fits a 5.00/5.25-16 Firestone bias ply.

I’m not having much luck talking to tire shops. Most are run by kids or dummies it seems nowadays.

I don’t have any Harley shops near me, so a tube labeled for a motorcycle is ok to use?

Also, from google it lists 5.00/5.10 as a common size. Would that be the right one?
I read when searching that I can run radial tubes in bias plies. Is there an advantage or does it matter?
    Thanks.

Some motorcycle tubes have the stem made to go in the center of a bike rim, some are for side of the rim exit, which is what you would probably need. Also, some have a fully threaded stem and some have a rubber stem, and there are two possible stem diameters, just like a car.

Safe, radial, etc.? Can't answer, sorry not a tube expert.

I saw Coker brand tubes but have read a lot of bad reviews on them. Wanting to take the car on a 2000 mile trip this summer and rather not try to change a tube on the side of the road. It’s one thing it bombing around town, another when your hours from anywhere on the side of the road, and model As don’t have room for a spare.

Kenda tubes or Miller tire... Farm, implement, etc.
I use Kenda MC angle 16" tubes in my 28" x15 LSR roadster and never had a problem.

    It's a KR-16 with a TR15 offset valve stem.
The radial tube has a stronger splice, heavier gauge rubber and a reinforced stem.
DO NOT use a farm tube.

Be sure to use liners and talc powder.
And make sure the wheels have NO sharps or burrs.

I initially thought I needed a kr-16 but then read it’s for 550/600/650-16, wondered if it was too big.
    Also thanks for the replies.

i got mine from coker. the stems for that size are very small, so coker sends out some jive *** plastic bushing that doesnt fit the tube or the rim, then to top it off i forgot to put one in. so, if i have to dismount one, well, may as well do both with some sort of better solution

I suggested Miller tire for the products they sell which include much more that farm/garden. I have purchased narrow 16 and 18" outer rims for LSR,
My tubes are stamped with the word Achieva and are both TR-15: 5.00-5.50-15 and 500.-550-16 off set. In a 28" tire on a 15" rim the 16" tube fits better. Achieva makes tubes for motor cycles, bicycles, etc. I bought them at a motorcycle shop near me.
What ever you buy open them immediately and check for cracking as you have no idea how long they have been in the box and blow them up partially until you want to use them. Good Luck
