I recently bought a '61 truck in the SE Tuscon area, well Corona de Tuscon to be exact (Roughly between Tuscon airport and Vail). Bought it from an estate of a late friend, and the person handling the estate is also up there in years and has stroke damage, so physical ability etc is limited. The truck has parts in the bed. I have a transporter that hauls RV's from Indiana lined up to bring it back when they run empty back to IND. Problem is, the tailgate is off the truck, and putting it back on the truck is more then the seller can physically [or otherwise] handle: I suspect some hardware may be missing to hold it on. Bottom line: the tailagte needs to go on for purposes of a containment device. Even if its jury rigged. Any Hamber's close by that could help make this happen? I'm 2,000+ miles away in Michigan, and I bought the truck a month ago and just getting to this point with the estate of having the truck ready to be picked up has been slow process. I just talked to the fellow selling stuff for the estate today and when I prompted for tailgate on, he said "well, the trucker can help me put it on, I'm kinda weak". I know that won't happen when a transporter is in a rush. Can anyone in the area help? Thanks much to the power of the HAMB!
what is your time frame? I might be up there Friday, I will for sure be up there Saturday, but kind of busy at the drag strip (which is out there, off of Houghton road)
