need some help..... fixin to chop my 31 tudor but someone {a pretty knowlaedgable person} told me that the hearse type symbols on the back quarters meant it was a special edition worth a lot more money. so, does anyone know if this is true or not? thanks, trav
I am not sure about that. I am sure there is a gray beard on here with allot more knowledge about the As than us young guys. You might try some of the model A club sights, they have message boards too. Just think if it really is rare now, I bet it would be even more rare to see one chopped.
Your "knowlaedgable" person is a idiot. Cut that sumbitch. Ford made enough Tudors that you can hack yours up with out any regret. Good luck, -Abone.
What do you mean by "hearse type symbols"? Is there some something different about your body than a typical 31 tudor? Post a pic.
It seems to me that unless it has a rear door (sedan delivery), it would been real difficult to put a coffin in a tudor "A". Get out the sawzall!!
For this to be true, your Model A would probably need to be restored to realize the value. I agree with what everyone else said, fix it anyway you want, they did build a lot of Model A's. Do you have any pictures of the sedan?
Sounds like he's talking about those chrome scroll things, like sport coupes had. Never saw them on a tudor. Maybe some JCW gook someone put on there to make it look more expensive?
I have never seen Landau irons on a Model A tudor either. On a 70 year old + car anything could have been added through the years.
