Is Anyone in the Tulsa area going to be going to this? Or has anyone gone to this in the past? If so, is it worth the price of admition? My girlfriend and I are thinking about going, mostly just to get the hell out of the house and check out some stuff that we both enjoy. http://www.leakecar.com/s_tulsa_june.htm
Choke, Sonic is suppose to be hoppin tonight with all the ford guys. Not sure what else. Don't know if it's worth the price of admission. It's pretty high dollar stuff. The cars are pretty cool though. monkey
best thing about sonic tonight was the 41 willys coupe, there were some cobras and gt 500 mustangs and oh ya a 41 willys coupe.
Leake is kool if you want to look at museum type pieces of auto history. It's NOT a car show in such a phrase that there is alot of kool stuff. Also it is not a big a Starbird, but it's at the same place. Tomorrow, June 12 Sat., Carousel of Cars car show is in Broken Arrow. The show is in Central Park, Downtown Broken Arrow. It's put on by Tulsa Late Great Chevys. I used to be in that club, and it was a kool show when I was a member. I am going to go to it. It's from 4:00 to 9:00, an evening show. If I bring a car, it will be a 31 Model A sedan, black with striped flames. If it's a young tattooed guy it's me, if it's an older guy with glasses it's the owner. He may take it instead. Maybe I'll see you there. Reverend Jake
I saw Brookeside closed down right in that area last night at about 8:30. I figured I was a bit too late to realy catch much, or enjoy the show. So basicaly, I missed it. I do belive that my Girlfriend and I are going to be down town all day tomorow for the rt66 Fest. We might still be heading up to the Expo for the Leake Auctions. But I feel it will do nothing but piss me off. I recently decided to hold off on buying a car to build. I want to get myself alot more finacialy stable before venturing into a possible money pit. Now every time I see a car I like, I start thinking about building one of my own, and soon I get anoyed. I get anoyed because I have nowhere to put a car to work on. My landlord told me that he doesnt want a 3rd car in the driveway or yard. The garage at my place is being taken up by my girls new Accord, while my Monte sits in the parking lot at work (I bought my girl's old Civic off her dad and its my new DD.). All I have room for is a motor and trany, in the garage now. So, as soon as I am able, I will be pulling the SBC and th350 out of the Monte and trying to sell the rest of the car as a project (she needs love that I am not ready to give her due to the posible inspection laws that I heard are comming back to OK.).
