That was a fun day. Was a real treat to see Walt bang gears in the TLB '55! Wish you guys could make it this year, but then again I really want to see your drive in double feature as well.

Unfortunatly this is what the Times are dictating!! Insurance is thru the roof, spectators & racers are down and the land is becoming more valuable!
Its hard to own/run/profit from a business thats open 2 or 3 days a week.
You see this alot in the motel/hotel business.Alot were owned by the person who started/opened them years ago so theres no morgage & there just paying taxes & help, they sell it & the new owners can't make a go of it because now there paying a huge morgage & taxes/help.
Its just the way of the world! Drag strips/racetracks are closing & walmarts & Football stadiums are booming!!
i think next people will be taking there cars to "Dynos" down loading all the cars info onto a disk than have a "simulator" that you can either bring your info to & race from a "cubical" or set one up in your house & race anyone around the world, just like you can with "Texas hold em" on your computer.& they'll be no blown engines, noise restrictions or anything like that!
    Thats just my 2 cents!

    Ok Guys...

Latest news on the track. At the "MOD VS ROD" race yesterday it came out that the new owners have agreed to lease the track for I believe was 3 years with an option of more years if things work out.
    Great news fer sure!!

Duck drags where awesome. Home town feel. Kinda like the hmb drags of old years. I never geared a rumor about the lease deal though, I hope that's true. It was my first time out in Tulsa today and the track was a nice facility, be sad to see it go for the cause

I heard the same rumor about the lease from a KS builder in the know when I was in San Antonio yesterday. Hope it is true.

Yep. Hate to see it go but if it does, we sent her out right.

Any other day at the track would have to measure up to this one and I'm sure it would be found wanting.
