Just out of curiosity. I have a 63 ambassador, and I was wondering how/what would happen if I installed a turbo on it. I most likely won't, but I was just wondering if it would hurt such an old engine, and how hard would it be to install. In fact, what would I need? Besides the kit. Engine is a 327 V-8
well boost is never really "good" for an engine as far as wear and tear goes. a lot depends on your compression, internals (forged or not), boost you wanna run, and octane fuel. you'll need the turbo kit, a blow through carb, headers or exhaust manifolds, and probably some other odds and ends depending on what all comes with the kit
Aaaah, one of those. Ok, that explains a lot. Let me explain to you what you get with your "kit". A $125 chinese knock-off of a T-3/4 turbo 6 or 7 feet of tubing, values at $25 A few hose clamps, valued at $3 And an instruction booklet that's not worth the paper it's xeroxed on... All for the value price of only $799... plus shipping.
