Yes, we have surprisingly many members from Finland.
Myself, I'm living 50 kilometers (=about 30 miles) from Turku, but I'm driving near Turku to work every day.

What brings you to Finland, to Turku?

    Hey Duncan,
I just checked my e-mail, and noticed that there wasn't new messages. Then I checked my user account here at hamb, and noticed that I had there my old e-mail address which I can't read anymore. So, now I've changed it to my present e-mail address. Now you'll reach me if you'll just send that e-mail again, or send me pm here at hamb. Sorry about this, this e-mail confusion was surprise for me also.

Guy's, I have a daughter visting Turku for 9 months on a Fulbright Scholarship from the USA. She is an attorney, there to study your laws and do research on your culture. She has just arrived 2 day's ago and is having trouble settling in. Classes don't start for a couple of week's. So I would just like to have some people I can trust to turn to if she has trouble. Right now they have her sleeping on thin foam over plywood for a bed in her flat. Where would we find a good mattress cheap? Also a microwave, and help to get it to her? Only transportation is bus or cab. I am sure it will all work out in time, but right now she is having a tough time...........

    Tony,

I'm living a bit too far to do much, but please pm. me some contact info and I'll see if I can help. I was treated so well in the US, that I would like to do something at least...

Mika, thank you for your concern. I believe that she is now doing much better, and I feel much better knowing that I have some great people to turn to if we need help. Thanks again

    Tony
