Can you use an LED turn signal on the rear of the car and a regular turn signal on the front? Or do they both have to be of the same kind to work?

If they can be mixed, will a regular flasher work?

  2. If you have a LED - bulb mix, and you use an electronic flasher unit, it will work. If you use a standard bi-metal type flasher can, it will probably flash slowly, as the LED uses little current compared to the bulb.

I have changed over to LED tail lights on my since sold 37 Ford with regular bulbs remaining for the front turn signals and everything worked just fine without changing the can type flasher.

I would use an electronic flasher, as they are not load dependent.

...or a heavy duty flasher usually works with any combo of bulbs

Thanks guys! I ordered a couple of turn signal/parking lights from Speedway today. They are not toooooo big and I hope to be able to mount them under the front fenders where they aren't conspicuous. There's enough room to mount them back a ways where they can't be seen if you are close to the front of the car but can be seen across an intersection, if they are on. That's the plan anyway!

  8. I used an led/halogen trailer harness from autozone, wired to a column mount signal stat in my '30 coupe. Works great!
